Finding My Way

Here's sharing with you guys these pretty photos i found in this wonderful children's book entitled "Finding My Way" by Japanese author Chisachi Suehiro. It was printed in 1967. So, this book is already 42 years old. Hmmm...great find. I hope you will enjoy viewing these pictures as much as i did.

I went crazy over this book. I felt like my heart was whispering to me "Isn't it time you learned to journey?" Yes, indeed it's about time...

Charm Locket Pendant

This lovely pendant features a one oval garnet stone bezel-set in silver-plated metal. Garnet is a stone of love and commitmnet; it is believed to enhance memory and stimulates blood flow. The pendant does not lie flat. The bottom case of the pendant contains assorted stones in tumbled form. Rose Quartz is pink in color and is believed to enhance love or brings success in the love area. Yellow Citrine is the Merchant’s Stone and is said to invigorate business, bring prosperity and helps one to maintain state of wealth. Amethyts (Peace Stone) is violet in colour and is said to calm the mind, ease tension, help prevent nightmares and cure insomia. Hematite is black in colour. It brings about a calm mental state, improve memory, mental focus and concentration, and bolster self-confidence. White onyx assists one in facing challenges in life, prevents the draining away of personal energy, and eliminating/controlling negative energies.

Erven Lucas Bols Het Lootsje Gin Bottle

Antique Erven Lucas Bols Het Lootsje Amsterdam ¾ liter Salt Glazed Earthernware Gin Bottle. Approximately 12” high. Still in good condition.

Erven Lucas Bols ("Heirs of Lucas Bols") was established in 1575 and therefore the oldest Dutch distillery. It is one of the most prolific Gin distillers and distributors between the early 1850s and 1920.

This jewel casket by Stylebuilt Accessories, New York, has reticulated filigree metal with a 24kt gold-plated finish which is said to be tarnish proof. The lid is beveled glass mounted in gold-plated metal and is hinged. This round box measures 2 ½” tall x approx. 3 ¼” in diameter. It has four footed Fleur De Lis legs. The bottom is lined with tan velvet fabric. Appears to be have been used lovingly over the years as a décor but still in good condition. It still retains the original makers label. It is from the 1940s – 1960s. US$ 50.00.

Vanity Perfume Bottle

A vintage ornate victorian style glass perfume bottle by Stylebuilt Accessories, New York. It has reticulated filigree metal with a 24kt gold-plated finish. The plating is intricately designed in a floral and leaf motif. The glass vial is beautifully carved with pressed glass bases and gilded metal mounts. It has approximately 2” glass dauber attached to a very fancy filigreed stopper with floral and leaf details. It appears to be used lovingly over the past years as a décor but still in good condition, no chips or cracks, plating is still excellent just needs shining. It measures approximately 6" high. Weighs approximately 51 grams. It is from the 1940s – 1960s. It can be used as a perfume bottle or can simply be a beautiful and exquisite decoration to any home.

Set of 5-piece set of retro shot glasses by Aderia Glass that looks un-used. Made in Japan. The drinking glasses feature a decorative etching design in silver overlay.
